Sharks V Manly at Manly (May 21)
Win 47-41

With our two big men, Anthony Rodriguez and James Trimble, recovering from illness, the absence of the quick and steadily improving Michael Northey and an off day for one of our best shooters, Addam Stone, this could have been a very grim day for the Sharks.
But thanks to some fantastic play by Jackson Gogoll, who went on to be the man of the match for the Sharks, and some extraordinary rebounding by one of our little men, Jackson Suva (10 rebounds), the team kept level and then pulled ahead in the final stages of this game.
There were a number of wonderful plays. Aaron Caldwell's steal and layup was a crucial play that gave the team momentum, an unexpected block by Nathan McOrist that led to a turnover ended a concerted attack by Manly and yet another full-length of the court solo effort by Addam Stone - his second in two games - were just a few of the excellent plays that come immediately to mind.
Aaron Caldwell had a strong game across the board and he could just as easily have been the man of the match as Jackson Gogoll.
Kurt Joyner started to find his confidence again and played a consistent harrassing game. And while his shooting percentage wasn't all that high, it was great to see him attacking the boards again.
Anthony Rodriguez and James Trimble struggled in this game. They were uncharacteristically pale and flat-footed because of their illnesses and this was reflected in the statistics. Both boys will appreciate the bye next week which will give them time to recover. Except for this match our two big men have been growing in dominance with every game.
And while Addam Stone may indeed have had an off shooting day, he made up for it with a much improved rebounding performance, something he intends to keep doing.
